“Thank you for keeping our child alive. She wouldn’t be here without you.” These words, spoken from a mom’s heart, are meant for everyone who has donated blood.

At only three weeks old, Clementine was rushed to ICU for her first blood transfusion. What followed were 36 days in the NICU in which she endured too many tests to count, and several blood transfusions. While Clementine’s diagnosis has still not determined, it is clear her tiny body is not making red blood cells.

Clementine may need blood transfusions for the rest of her life. Her family is counting on generous people in the community to donate blood to keep their baby alive. “We want to celebrate her first birthday, we want to witness her first steps, we want to experience every joy as a parent.”
Clementine’s mom Tanner says. “But we cannot do those things without blood donors.”

“Before our experience with Clementine, we had no idea how important blood donations are.” Tanner continued. “Blood donors saved my babies life. Not once, but eight times. Words don’t begin to describe the thankfulness my family has for those amazing people who have donated blood.”
