Using the lectionary for Thanksgiving, this sermon is based on two verses from Deuteronomy 8:18 and Luke 17:15 referencing the healed Samaritan leper and God people Israel who actively participate in giving thanks for what God has done. We, within the hearing of God’s word on this Thanksgiving Day, are privileged to do the same.
