Today we hear in Matthew a portion of scripture that has become known as the beatitudes, and in these verses we hear of people being blessed that we wouldn’t normally think of in that way. Jesus helps to bring the perspective to our lives that we are all blessed, no matter what our circumstance, because we know Christ present with us in our lives. He journeys with us, bringing us forgiveness and grace and hope, and reminds us that we are always blessed and forever loved.
