The Jesus Brand: Abundant Life

Using the concept of “emotional branding” from the PBS Frontline TV show, this sermon looks at the things that St. John’s offers as place where the church may reclaim its position as a place to help people discover their deep seated need to belong and be spiritually connected.  Jesus words in John 10:10b “I came that they may have life…and have it abundantly,” is the text for the sermon. Lutheran SeniorLife and its byline “Live an Abundant Life” is cited as a faith-based organization that has used “emotional/biblical” branding for its marketing.
